Simulation of a turbulent free shear layer with the help of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics

Abridged version

The primary objective of the work is to simulate a turbulent flow profile of a free shear layer with the help of the bar less simulation process Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). Subsequently, the results should be validated with the available measurement results. Finally, the used procedures should be evaluated towards previous simulation based on the finite volume method. The calculation should be executed with an own software package as well as with the freely available software DualSPHysics.
